I'm done with Daily-Kos, because I'm done with America as it currently stands in the world of civilized peoples.

America tortures.  It's now official.

The Democratic Party just allowed the approval of an Attorney-General who refused to call water-boarding torture or illegal.

The only explanation I can accept for this is that it's now no longer a big deal.  America tortures...just don't admit it in public...wink-wink...let's move on the the spending bill...

There are so many definitions of Freedom.

My progressive view of it is exactly that: Freedom.

We are all born Free, and yet so few of us remain so during our lives.

People call me an asshole or nut, or other complimentary terms, because I have a unique, I suppose, view of Freedom, for which I have fought tooth and nail, to overcome the barriers placed to block my path to Freedom, and I refuse to yield one inch of mine, ever again, without fighting to the Death to retain it.

Freedom or Death, and I kid you not, brothers and sisters...I don't know what Liberty is, but I know fucking Freedom when I see it...

As for my Bipolar Disorder, I was born with it, so if you wanna attack me for that as well, Obama supporters, have at it...you're just showing your true colours and doing your candidate a great dis-service...unless, of course, you think he'd agree with you...

Screw Amy Winehouse, first of all...that chick may be bipolar, but she's also an immature dough-head, and I don't believe for one minute anymore, watching her demeanor and listening to what she say, that it's her bipolar disorder making her act like an asshole...I've been an asshole too, many, many times, in my life, actually (don't look now, the asshole's back!) and it wasn't because of BPD...so no more tears about Amy from me...

I've done two things since I took my leave from here a few weeks ago.  I should perhaps fill y'all in, since a few weeks in a bi-pole's life can be crammed with enough action to suffice for a few years...

I'm wondering if any Kossacks out there are familiar with the history of the peoples of the Levant, and on the genealogical history of the peoples therein, to guide me towards the right path in research I am about to undertake...

Here is the basic what and why and what for of my quest.

1. I am the son of black and white.  I have much knowledge of my family background on my white mother's side, as her family was in Canada since the late 1700's and we have a family tree documenting every generation since.

2. On my father's side, I have no knowledge of anything past my paternal grandfather's name.  In the Caribbean, family history was not a big subject in the days following the emancipation of African slaves, so I have no idea what my past is, on my father's side...

Now it gets interesting...I think my "Arab" wife is actually of Caananite, or other Semitic descent from peoples of the Levant, if not the original Hebrew tribes, regardless of what her "Arab" family thinks...and here's why...

Don't worry, folks, I haven't returned...I have only come back to offer my former Kossack friends my condolences.  I really think your nation has passed, and that the decline shall be rapid.

If you think this gives me pleasure, remember that, as America goes, Canada shall most likely follow...we are tied to you culturally, economically and in many other intangible ways...so, no, as someone who dreamt of moving to American when I became an adult, as someone who has interests in American right now, in my future career, I take no pleasure in my prognostication.

As some of my Kossack friends have noticed, I haven't been around much lately except to post a Diary here and there, and to stick around to comment briefly with readers.

Let me explain: I'm just more content working on my new site and concentrating on mental health and bipolar disorder postings and re-exploring my love for literature, music and my own creative and journal writing...nothing really hard-hitting as of yet, I'm just fleshing out the site and getting my sea legs, but I can see that my time at Daily Kos is coming to an end...
